“Same God” Film Screening

This documentary about a tenured Wheaton College professor who lost her job after she posted pictures of herself in a hijab and claimed Christians and Muslims worship the same god is scheduled to screen at Gables UCC on Sunday, October 27, at 1:30 p.m. A local Muslim group will provide food beginning at 1:30 p.m. Professor Larycia Hawkins’ symbolic gesture, which was meant to show “embodied solidarity” with Muslim women, divided the west suburban evangelical school and made national headlines.…
