“Anne and Emmett” is an imagines conversation between Anne Frank and Emmett Till–two teenagers whose lives were tragically cut short by hatred and injustice.

In a place called Memory, Anne reflects on her years in hiding during the Holocaust, while Emmett shares his story of racial violence in the American South.

Together, they search for understanding, reconciliation, and hope.

Written by Janet Langhart Cohen as a call to action against racism and anti-Semitism, this powerful and moving play reminds us not only to remember–but to act.
