Wellness

Through our support, therapy, walking, and caregiving groups, we provide services that address the mind, body, and spirit.

We are welcoming, inclusive, supportive, and engaged for mental health, committed to reducing the stigma and to include people with mental illnesses/brain health/emotional challenges and their families, in the full life of the church.

Check our calendar below for upcoming Wellness events.

Walking Group

Join Pastor Megan, church members, and friends for a weekly walk around the Granada Golf Course and back, approximately 3.5 miles. We will meet outside our church’s Fair Trade shop and leave the church together as we begin our walk. Just an FYI-Pastor Megan sets a brisk pace! Friends are always welcome! Bring a flashlight. Check our calendar below for dates and times.

Grief Support Group

Grief is a powerful emotion and can stop us in our tracks. It can also break our hearts enough to make us feel that we will never again be whole. Whether you are newly bereaved or still struggling with painful feelings that occurred years ago, join us in a safe place, led by professional therapists to find mutual support and care.

Sessions take place on the third Saturday of each month at 2:00 p.m.
Led by Pat Berman, M.S. Family Therapy

#metoo

Once again, this past year has been very distressing for those who have suffered sexual abuse. Acts of violence against women in our country continues, and news reports have brought up lots of occasions for many people to re-live traumas.

If you are a victim or survivor of sexual abuse, we invite you to attend #metoo gatherings here at church or on Zoom. In this safe space, we may choose to share our stories or sit in silent solidarity. Let us gather together, in support of one another.
