With music, we express the things that are most meaningful in our lives, and find in its gifts a meaningful ministry of the church.
An important part of our ministry, music and the arts unites people despite their differences. In times of celebration and sorrow, we are brought together.
Due to COVID-19, we are not holding music programming at this time.
Chancel Choir primarily has rehearsals on Sunday mornings before 9:30 a.m. worship. Our choir is open to all friends and members of the church who love to sing and who would find satisfaction in rehearsing and presenting weekly worship music and special music in the Advent, Christmas, Lenten, and Easter seasons.
No Auditions – just show up with a song in your heart!
Contact Ron Morgan at RonM@gablesucc.org for more information or to be added to our choir mailing list for updates, specific rehearsal times, and worship offerings.

Music reading ability is necessary for Adult Bell Choir participation.

Our talented and enthusiastic Youth Bell Choir rehearses at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday mornings in the Bell Choir Room (between the offices of Pastor Laurie and Mark Hart). Youth Bell Choir is open to all ringers in Grades 6 – 12.
Please contact director Seth Patterson at email@example.com to express your interest or for more information.
Sunday School Singers
Our children’s music ministry, under the leadership of Alex Woods, is woven into Sunday School. Organized in age-appropriate groups, the music revolves around the themes and lessons of the Sunday School curriculum and culminates in regular sharing of that music in our 11:00 worship service.
We look forward to having even more children making a Joyful Noise to our God in the worship and educational life of our church.
Music Reading 101
We will begin with basics, with the goal of singing music at sight with words, pitches, and rhythms as accurately as possible (and always with a spirit of charity and forgiveness). Not to worry: all singing will be done with the entire class. No solos (unless you would like to volunteer for one).
You are promised a non-threatening, group-centered introduction to music reading. Just as we all learned to read, all of us can learn to read music. It’s never too late to start at the very beginning.
