Our Mission: The Kids FUNd for Enrichment and Transformation enables low-resourced, at-risk youth to participate in sports, the arts, and other extracurricular activities that promote physical, emotional, intellectual, or psychological growth; teamwork; and a sense of self-worth and well-being.
History: The Kids FUNd for Enrichment and Transformation was established in late 2019 through a gift from a Coral Gables Congregational UCC family. They believe in the power of organized childhood activities – such as sports, music, theater, visual arts, outdoor adventures, and travel – to enrich and transform young lives. Not all youth, however, have the access and opportunity to pursue their passions. The Kids FUNd strives to identify and support these youth who are eager to participate in an extracurricular activity that is beyond their family’s financial reach.
Oversight: The Kids FUNd is directed by a volunteer Board of appointed church and community members who review applications, award grants, and ensure the proper administration of the fund.
