Pilgrimage on the Camino De Santiago, in Spain
July 5 - July 14
Join Pastors Laurie and Megan along with the many pilgrims from around the world, walking the last section of the Camino Francés to Santiago de Compostela. Walking the last 100 kilometers of the Camino means that you can request your Compostela, or certificate of completion of the pilgrimage.
The last 100 kilometers is walked exclusively in Galicia, Spain’s green oasis in the North. You will be walking through beautiful oak woodlands, fragrant eucalyptus forests, and traditional Galician villages. This area is famous for the wines produced there (both red and white), its seafood (pretty much everything the Atlantic has to offer), and its cheese (curiously-shaped). You can count on enjoying all of these things, plus times of contemplation and connection to current fellow pilgrims and centuries of those who have journeyed this road before us.
We will fly directly from Miami to Madrid and then travel by bus to Galicia. From the starting point in Sarria, to the ending point in Santiago de Compostela, hotels, luggage transport, meals and excellent guides are provided by Andaspain! Start prepping now, by joining our Gables UCC Walking Group, because you will not want to miss this pilgrimage!
