Find Your Balance: Mental Health Workshop for Youth

The 6-week Find Your Balance: Mental Health Workshop is designed for middle and high school youth. The purpose of these sessions is to equip students with essential tools for emotional well-being as they prepare for the upcoming school year. Each session will focus on practical techniques such as mindfulness, stress management, healthy communication, and emotional resilience. Through interactive activities, group discussions, and expert guidance, students will build a personal toolkit to navigate the challenges of academic and social life, fostering a positive and balanced mind set for a successful start in the fall. Sunday July 7: Students will develop character by exploring and articulating their personal values, fostering self-awareness and integrity.

Sunday July 14: Students will address LGBTQ and bullying issues, learning the importance of acceptance, advocacy, and resilience in creating an inclusive and supportive community.

Sunday July 21: Students will learn to manage anxiety and stress through techniques like time management, self-care, mindfulness, and effective communication, fostering resilience and well-being throughout the school year.

Sunday July 28: Students will practice nonviolent communication to foster empathy, understanding, and peaceful conflict resolution, enhancing relationships and reducing conflicts.

Sunday August 4: Students will develop emotional intelligence by enhancing self-awareness, self-regulation, empathy, motivation, and social skills, leading to improved relationships and academic performance.

Sunday August 11: Students will practice mindfulness and meditation to enhance their mental and emotional well-being, improve concentration, and develop greater emotional resilience.
