In the Gospel According to Luke, there is a story about Jesus meeting two of his disciples on the road to Emmaus, and they did not know him. After walking a whole day together, they stopped to eat dinner. As they sat down to dine, Jesus broke a loaf of bread and, in the breaking of the bread, the disciples knew it was him! At Dinner Church we will gather to share a sacred meal, as the first followers of Jesus did. Simple unaccompanied music is sung, scripture explored, and prayers offered, all in the context of a home-cooked meal.
