This is a day set aside by churches all over the world for the purpose of highlighting and affirming the gift and gifts of children in our midst. We will celebrate our own children’s programs and those involved, and welcome in the families of our Early Childhood Center, a NAEYC-accredited preschool serving children ages two years through kindergarten.
It is also Bible Sunday! Studying scripture is one of the most important ways we learn about our Christian faith. Each year, Gables UCC presents personal Bibles to every third-grade child as a statement of their growing faith development and as recognition of their being old enough to study scripture on their own. It is our prayer that this gift will be a starting point for a deeper relationship with our still-speaking God.
